Are cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin worsening climate change? This is the question at the heart of a fervent ongoing debate concerning the future and sustainability of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which use an intentionally energy-intensive process called 'proof of work' to secure their blockchains. In this film, I dived into the middle of this debate, speaking to contributors with strongly opposing views in an effort to find the signal from the noise.
